Two Oceans Pickleball Adventures

This trip is for individual or groups of pickleball players of all ages and skill levels, and also the partners of pickleball participants.

You will play pickleball every day. Every morning after breakfast for 2/3hours, either at our accommodations or at other venues/clubs.

Morning play will consist of organized games, round robins, friendly matches with the locals and some fun games.

Afternoon play, after we return from our excursions will be free play where you can play as much as you like with your fellow guests.

DUPR rating is available on all games for interested guests.

With this tour you will get:

  • A fully-guided tour
  • All Pickelball games
  • Daily Breakfast, 4 Lunches and 3 dinners
  • 11 nights accommodations
  • 10 Excursions (see list above of excursions)
  • Pick up and drop off to and from the Cape Town Airport and hotel in the Cape Town area
  • All transport to and from Pickleball courts, accommodation and excursions
  • Daily non-alcoholic beverages and snacks at Pickleball courts and excursions

The following things are not included in the price of the package:

  • Travel to and from your home to Cape Town
  • Additional tours (can be arranged during booking process)
  • Tips & gratuities
  • Alcoholic beverages.
  • Some lunches and dinners

All 11 breakfasts are included on the trip, taken at our local accommodation. On day 11 we will have a lovely champagne brunch.

Four lunches will be provided. All other lunches and drinks are at your own expense.

Three dinners will be provided. All other dinners including non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are at your own expense and will give you the opportunity to explore Cape Town’s world class local cuisine.

Daily non-alcoholic beverages and snacks will be provided at the courts and on excursions.

For the 4 lunches and 3 dinners included in the tour, local alcoholic drinks will be provided.

If you require any additional nights accommodation near Cape Town Airport, the Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport is an excellent choice with free airport shuttle to and from Cape Town Airport and less than 5 minutes drive from airport.

Flights to Cape Town International Airport, CPT are widely available from most international destinations.

As players come from all over the world, and join our tours, we don’t currently offer flights as part of our tour package. We do however want to do as much as we can to ensure that our guests get the best deals when travelling so check out the following websites:

The local currency in South Africa is the Rand, ZAR. ATMs are widely available in Cape Town, please note that the ATMs only dispense cash in the local currency, Rand, and the Rand is the only currency excepted.

All major bank/credit cards are accepted at the local ATMs and at all restaurants and shops. It is advised to have small denominations, R10, R20, R50 for tipping.

You can purchase ZAR currency from your local bank before your trip. You should bring extra money with you to cover such items as extra meals, drinks, souvenirs, etc.

The guides can advise on local norms for service providers and waiters.

Non-residents of South Africa require a full passport to enter the country, which should be valid for at least six months beyond the expected length of stay. Your passport should have at least 2 blank pages when you present it at immigration to enter or leave South Africa.

If visiting South Africa for tourism purposes for a period of less than 90 days, you don’t need a visa.  We strongly recommend, however, that you check visa requirements prior to travel as requirements are subject to change. For more information on visas contact the South African High Commission or the South African Department of Home Affairs.

You should check prior to travel whether you need a yellow fever certificate by visiting the National Travel Health Network and Centre’s TravelHealthPro website.

We consider comprehensive travel insurance to be essential, and we strongly recommend that you purchase insurance which includes, but is not limited to, cover for illness, accident, emergency repatriation, ambulance, air ambulance, helicopter rescue services, cancellation, lost luggage and delays. Please read your policy details carefully and remember to take them with you on your trip for your own reference.

As a valued TWO OCEANS guest, you are required to have in place travel/medical insurance that covers you for all activities you will be taking part in during your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully covered for these activities.

Whatever travel policy you decide on, you will need to bring a copy of your current Certificate of Insurance to the welcome briefing at the start of your holiday. Your guides will need to take a note of your insurer, policy number and the number to call in case of an emergency claim.

This trip officially begins on Monday at 3pm, when you can check into the guesthouse and settle into your room.

The trip finishes twelve days later on Friday morning after a leisurely breakfast. Check out is at 11am.

When you are going on a trip to South Africa, it is important to pack the appropriate travel adapter that fits the local sockets. The type N socket and plug are the official standard in South Africa. Type C plugs are also official, but not type C sockets. 

This trip has a maximum group size of 12 people (including players and non-players) and will be accompanied by 2 guides at all times.
