Here's The Specific Itinerary:
Please note, this is a rough guide to our 12 days together. As best we can, we will adapt the week carefully for each individual and the prevailing weather. All activities are planned with safety as the paramount concern. We will try our best to stick to the itinerary, however, should weather conditions dictate, we may need to cancel some excursions and provide alternative venues and excursions.
For excursions, the Safari, Strandloper, Table Mountain, Wine Farm, and the visit to Boulder Beach to see the penguins are our highest priority on the tour, and we will do our best to make sure you do not miss these.
Your Two Oceans Guide will meet you at pre-arrange locations and transport you to the Guesthouse. If possible, we advise guests to try and arrive between 3pm and 5pm. You can settle into your room, and meet your fellow guests and guides. At 6pm we will have our welcoming cocktails and briefing followed by an evening meal.
On Tuesday morning after breakfast we will meet for our first round of organized Pickelball play at the guesthouse.
Afterwards we will make our way to the V&A Waterfront where you can spend a leisurely afternoon shopping, eating and exploring the Waterfront (https://www.waterfront.co.za).
On our return to the guesthouse you will have time to play more pickleball, have a swim or just relax with a drink.
The evening dinner we will explore the local restaurants.
After breakfast we will make our way to Stellenbosch and play with the local pickeleballers and have a friendly match.
We will make our way to Ernie Else’s Wine farm for a wine tour, wine tasting and lunch (https://ernieelswines.com).
Upon our return to the guesthouse you will have time to play pickleball, have a swim or just relax by the pool before we head out for our evening dinner.
Today is a big day! After an early breakfast we will play at our home ground at the guest-house.
We will leave at 10:15 am for our all day excursion up the West Coast to Strandloper (https://strandloper.com). It is on the beach in Langebaan, where you will feast on Seafood dishes, prepared true West Coast style, by real West Coast people. Don’t forget your bathing suite, towel and paddle!
After breakfast we will head out to a facility in Green Point to play games with the locals. For lunch we will head to Camps Bay where you will have the opportunity to choose from any of the lovely restaurants on the beach front. After lunch you will have time to relax on the beautiful Camps Bay beach before we head back to the guesthouse to relax, or for those who are still keen, play some more Pickleball.
For the evening we will head out at 4:30pm to Lourensford Market (www.Ifhm.co.za) to enjoy the ultimate night-market experience, tasting award-winning wines, snacking on decadent delights, or spending hours combing through our vendors.
After another lovely breakfast at the guest house we will meet with some of the local players and team up with them for our morning round-robin games.
We will head out to Hout Bay, for another day at a local market. The Bay Harbour Market… the place where the creative energy and the vibrancy of Cape Town come alive in an authentic fish factory in a working harbour… where people of all ages and cultures gather alongside one another to celebrate our unique South African spirit… where the hustle and bustle of a boisterous market fills the air www.bayharbour.co.za .
We will take a drive up the beautiful Chapmans Peak and make our way back to our accommodation. Once again the afternoon is yours to play or relax.
We will head out to one of the local restaurants for dinner.
After breakfast we will once again meet up with the local pickleball players to play a friendly match.
For lunch we will head to Stellenbosch Dorp Street, where you can explore the local crafts and food in a relaxing manner.
We will head back to our guesthouse and have plenty of play time before heading out for dinner.
This is another full day! After an early breakfast we will play organized games at our accommodation. We will leave at 10:00am for our journey to a Aquila private game Reserve.
The safari trip has been rated by Sawubona magazine as one of the Top 10 best day-trip destinations. The safari is led by an experienced guide who will share inside-stories and facts about your surroundings – easily arousing your inner wild side. 2/3 hour game drive.
For this day you will need a bathing costume, sunblock, towel and warm clothing.
After breakfast we will head out again to Green Point for another round of play with the locals.
We will have quick lunch and make our way up to the famous Table Mountain. Table Mountain is know as one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. We will take a cable car up to the top of Table Mountain where you will have time to explore and enjoy the marvelous views from the top.
This will be our last day playing with the local players. After play we will make our way to Boulders Beach to see the penguins in their natural habitat.
We will stop at Cape Point Vineyards, a seaside wine farm for a late lunch.
This will be our last full day. We’ll start with organized pickleball games, followed by a Champagne brunch.
The rest of the day is yours to play pickleball, swim, or relax by the pool.
The evening will begin at 5:30pm with cocktails, we will have a farewell dinner and a “price giving” .
Enjoy your last breakfast and check-out at 11pm. Transfers to airport and hotels will start from 6am and finish at 1pm.
